MAN WITH 'DANGEROUS OBSESSION' BREASTFED FROM WOMAN, 60, 'TO GET BACK AT HIS MOTHER'

A man in his 30s developed an "obsession" with a 60-year-old woman and "breastfed" from her as a way to "get back at his mother." Michael Jones, 32, reached out to the woman despite being banned from contacting her, Caernarfon Crown Court heard today.

Jones had previously assaulted the woman and was under a restraining order when he encountered her three times this summer, including one instance of "breastfeeding" from her, thereby violating the order.

Today, he was sentenced to a total of 15 months in prison.

The court was told Jones had admitted to causing grievous bodily harm to the woman without intent.

In June, he received a 16-month prison sentence, suspended for 18 months for that offence.

However, he met the same woman three times in July, including a night in a park where they kissed and she allowed him to breastfeed for 10 minutes.

He told her he spoke to women of her age "as a way of getting back at his mother." The woman expressed that she knew his behavior was "strange" but it was part of their relationship.

Jones called the woman on July 14, asking her to come to his flat, and initially refused to let her leave when she arrived.

She later stayed with a friend.

He also disclosed to his probation officer that they met secretly at "concealed" locations.

The woman said her health worsened due to the stress and that she knew Jones was "obsessed with me" and that "the obsession is dangerous." Her solicitor said Jones has a new focus now because he has a girlfriend, but also noted his "attachment problems" and said he "could not stop himself." The judge highlighted that the victim was "very complicit" and noted Jones's breaches of the restraining order.

Jones's sentence was activated, extending his restraining order until June 5, 2030.
