CAERNARFON RESTERAUNT OWNER JAILED FOR CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE
A victim has spoken about how Richard Tung, 42, of Penisa'r Waun, Gwynedd—who was regarded as a "golden boy" and the owner of Fu's Restaurant in Caernarfon—spent years abusing him during his childhood.Despite Tung’s reputation as a well-established and respected figure in the local community, his true nature was far darker.
Before relocating to Caernarfon, Tung had a history of raping and sexually abusing a young child over an extended period.
This year, justice caught up with him when he was convicted of seven separate crimes, including two counts of raping a child under 13.
His convictions also included two counts of engaging in sexual activity with a minor, two counts of inciting or causing a child to participate in sexual acts, and indecent assault.
In April, he received a 12-year prison sentence at Nottingham Crown Court for these offenses.
Tung is no longer associated with the Caernarfon restaurant, and his crimes are unrelated to his employment there.
