STALKER JAILED AFTER CALLING WOMAN 100 TIMES A DAY
A man has received a prison sentence after engaging in a stalking campaign against a woman, which involved ringing her up to 100 times daily from blocked numbers and leaving threatening voice messages, according to police reports.Thomas McGinn, aged 33, was taken into custody in March and admitted guilt on November 3rd to charges of controlling and coercive behavior, as well as stalking that caused significant distress.
Warwickshire Police indicated that the victim was also harassed through numerous fake social media accounts created by McGinn.
Additionally, he sent her unwanted presents and transferred money to her.
McGinn, whose address is listed as Christie Way in Stratford-upon-Avon, was given a prison sentence of one year and four months by Warwick Crown Court.
Authorities further reported that McGinn attempted to contact a relative of the victim and appeared at locations he knew she would frequent.
He also shared upsetting images of himself self-harming with the victim and persisted until she visited his residence, refusing to seek help or cease his actions.
In a hearing held on November 10th, the judge issued a lifelong restraining order against McGinn to protect the victim.
