TRANSGENDER WOMAN AND HER BOYFRIEND JAILED FOR LIFE OVER SADISTIC BETHANY HILL MURDER
A brutal murder case involving Kayleigh Woods, a transgender woman born male, and her then-boyfriend Jack Williams has resulted in both being sentenced to life imprisonment.
Woods, aged 23, and Williams, aged 21, were convicted by a jury of killing 20-year-old Bethany Hill in Stratford-upon-Avon in February of the previous year.
Bethany was found in a blood-soaked bathroom at their shared flat with her throat slit after being physically bound and attacked repeatedly with a knife, a murder described by the judge as "sadistic" and potentially motivated by a sexual aspect.
Woods claimed she had no involvement in the murder and only participated out of fear, while Williams' defense argued he was suffering from mental health problems and had blacked out.
However, the court dismissed these claims, and both offenders were found guilty after a swift trial, with the judge emphasizing that the murder was carried out for "perverted pleasure" and involved a "web of lies" to cover their tracks.
The conviction and sentence reflect the severity of the crime and the commitment of authorities to justice.
