A MAN HAS BEEN JAILED FOR MORE THAN 11 YEARS FOR RAPING TWO TEENAGE GIRLS
Taranvir Galsinh took a 14-year-old girl to a hotel where he committed numerous sexual offenses, including rape, sexual assault, and paying her for sex.
He assaulted her multiple times in a car, and on one occasion, he attempted to strangle her.
Galsinh, who resides in Sunderland, also raped a second girl who was only 12 years old at the time, coercing her into sexual activity inside his vehicle, and paid her as well.
In July, he appeared at Durham Crown Court, where he admitted to several charges: rape of a girl aged between 13 and 15, two counts of raping a girl under 13, intentional strangulation, three counts of paying for sexual services from a girl, sexual assault of a child, inducing a child to engage in sexual activity, two counts of engaging in sexual activity with a child, and assault by penetration of a child.
Last week, Galsinh was sentenced at Teesside Crown Court to 11 years and three months imprisonment.
He was also ordered to comply with a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) and was given lifetime restraining orders against both victims.
