Update 29/10/2025: Steven Jones, 55, of Luther Street, Oxford, pleaded guilty to eight charges relating to incidents in November 2024 and February of this year.
Jones pleaded guilty to one count each of attempting to cause a child under 13 to look at an image of sexual activity, making indecent photos of a child (category C), making indecent photos of a child (category B), possessing prohibited image of a child, and attempting to engage in sexual communications with a child.
He has been sentenced to more than three years in jail.

A 55-year-old man pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including being an adult attempting to establish sexual communication with a minor, being over 18, trying to persuade a child to view or observe an image of sexual activity, and sending a photograph or video with the intent to cause fear or distress.
The incidents allegedly occurred in Oxford on February 18.
The court was informed that immediate sentencing would not take place because he was soon to face 17 additional charges.
Among these new allegations were accusations of communicating with decoys.
Jones is scheduled to be sentenced on September 26.
