BRIDGEND RAPIST STEFFAN JONES SENTENCED TO 15 YEARS IN PRISON FOR SEXUAL ASSAULTS IN CARDIFF
In a significant legal development in Bridgend, Steffan Jones has been sentenced to a lengthy prison term of 15 years following his conviction for multiple sexual offenses.The court proceedings, held at Cardiff Crown Court, revealed disturbing details about Jones's crimes, which involved the assault and rape of two women, as well as the recording of one of the assaults to share with his flatmate.
Jones, aged 25, was found guilty on charges that included one count of rape and two counts of assault by penetration.
The incidents took place in May 2021, during which Jones targeted one of his victims while she was under the influence of alcohol.
The court heard that he took advantage of her intoxicated state, which included her being naked, vomiting into a wash basin, and heavily intoxicated after being tricked into participating in a drinking game.
The court was also informed that Jones not only assaulted his victims but also recorded one of the assaults.
This recording was intended to be shown to his flatmate, highlighting a disturbing element of his behavior and attitude towards his crimes.
The judge, David Wynn Morgan, did not hold back in his assessment of Jones, describing him as a “sexual predator, a liar, and a narcissist.” Throughout the trial, the court heard evidence that painted a picture of a man who exploited vulnerable women and showed a blatant disregard for their well-being.
