MAN JAILED FOR 10 YEARS FOR RAPE AND A NUMBER OF SERIOUS SEXUAL OFFENCES
A man from Nuneaton has received a ten-year prison sentence after being found guilty of multiple serious sexual offences and rape.Simon Cruikshank, aged 53, of Charlecote Walk, was convicted at Warwick Crown Court on Tuesday, June 16, following a trial related to an incident that took place at a property in Nuneaton earlier in 2023.
The court heard evidence pertaining to offences including the rape of a woman aged 16 or older, along with three counts of assaulting a female aged 13 or above through penetration.
Additionally, Cruikshank was sentenced to an extra three years for causing a female aged 13 or older to engage in non-penetrative sexual activity.
This term is to run concurrently with his main sentence.
As part of his punishment, Cruikshank was ordered to register as a sex offender, was issued a restraining order, and required to pay a victim surcharge.
