MAN JAILED FOR 35 YEARS OF SEXUAL OFFENCES
Beginning in 2022, a girl confided in the police about ongoing sexual abuse, which eventually prompted others to come forward with similar allegations involving the same individual.By the year 2024, three women had courageously reported a series of sexual offences committed against them during their childhood.
These testimonies led to the arrest and trial of Stephen Lloyd, aged 67, residing on Winchester Avenue in Nuneaton.
He was found unanimously guilty of 12 charges, including two counts of raping a girl under 16, crimes he committed between July 1991 and July 1993.
Lloyd was also convicted of additional offences that occurred from September 2009 to August 2022, which included three counts of engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl under the age of 13, four counts of non-penetrative sexual activity with girls aged 13 to 15, one count of inciting a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity without penetration, and two counts of sexually assaulting a girl under 13 by touching her.
He has been sentenced to serve 18 years in prison.
His wife, June Lloyd, aged 63 and also of Winchester Avenue, was sentenced separately for her role in exposing two young girls to her husband's sexual misconduct.
She received a 30-month prison sentence for two counts related to causing or facilitating harm and neglect towards children, covering incidents between September 2009 and August 2015, and again from September 2020 to August 2022.
Both Stephen and June Lloyd received their sentences on April 27, 2026.
