BEDWORTH CARE WORKER JAILED FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES
Simon Godsell, aged 44 and originally from Bedworth, but now living in Grove Farm, has received a nine-year prison sentence after admitting to multiple child sex offences.The criminal acts, involving sexual contact with a minor, were uncovered following police investigations initiated after reports emerged in September 2020.
During his appearance at Warwick Crown Court, Godsell admitted to four counts of engaging in sexual activity with a child.
Police officials commended the victim’s courage in coming forward, with Detective Constable Sam Sutton describing the case as particularly grievous.
Dc Sutton also noted their satisfaction that justice would be served in this case, reaffirming the police’s dedication to aiding victims of sexual abuse, regardless of when the crimes took place.
