SEAN ROUSE FROM SALFORD SENTENCED TO 21 MONTHS FOR BRUTAL DOMESTIC ABUSE AND BRICK ATTACK
In a case that has shocked the local community in Salford, Sean Rouse has been handed a significant prison sentence after being found guilty of multiple acts of domestic violence and assault. The incident, which took place over a period of sustained abuse, culminated in Rouse violently attacking two women, including his former partner, with devastating consequences.Rouse, who was already under a suspended sentence for an earlier assault involving a woman, was convicted at Crown Court of causing actual bodily harm through assault. The court heard harrowing details of his violent behavior, which included smashing a brick over one woman's head during a particularly brutal episode. This act of violence was not an isolated incident but part of a pattern of prolonged domestic abuse that left the victims physically and emotionally scarred.
One of the most severe assaults involved Rouse knocking a young girl unconscious, resulting in her falling and suffering a serious head injury. The injury was so severe that it caused a large gash to open across her scalp, requiring immediate medical attention. The court was also informed of how Rouse repeatedly punched his now ex-partner, inflicting multiple large bruises and cuts across her body, further illustrating the extent of his violent conduct.
The court took into account Rouse's previous suspended sentence, which was activated for a period of nine months. Additionally, an extra twelve months was added to his sentence, to be served consecutively. As a result, Sean Rouse from Salford will spend a total of 21 months behind bars, a sentence that reflects the severity of his actions and the court's stance on domestic violence cases.
