MAN SENTENCED TO FIVE YEARS FOR COMMITTING CHILD SEX OFFENCES
Ryan Clarkson, residing on Swain Court in Northampton, received a five-year prison sentence last month (June 19) after being convicted of child sexual offences.The 27-year-old was previously found guilty of a total of 13 charges related to child sex offences, which included multiple instances on some counts, amounting to 28 offences in total.
This verdict was delivered at Leicester Crown Court in December 2025.
Clarkson carried out these offences when he was aged between 10 and 15, with his inappropriate conduct escalating from sexual touching to acts of rape.
The investigation into Clarkson’s conduct began in 2022, after several survivors came forward.
As a result, he faced 20 charges, which included six counts of raping a child under 13 and three counts of rape.
Additional charges included two counts of assault by penetration of a child under 13, six charges of sexually assaulting a child under 13, two counts of engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a child, and one count of sexual activity with a child.
Clarkson denied all accusations but was found guilty by a jury, which convicted him of six counts of raping a child under 13, two counts of assault by penetration of a child under 13, four counts of sexual assault against a child under 13, and one count of sexual activity with a child.
The jury acquitted Clarkson of seven other charges, which included two counts of sexual assault of a child under 13, three counts of rape, and two counts of penetrative sexual activity involving a child.
