REWAN WILDE SENTENCED IN TRURO FOR BREACHING SEXUAL HARM PREVENTION ORDER

A man with communication difficulties and a documented sexual interest in children has received another prison sentence after breaching his restrictions by accessing prohibited websites using a VPN. Revan Wilde, also known as Kyle Clarke-Brown, is identified as a pedophile who remains non-verbal in court proceedings. On October 15, Wilde, 22, appeared via video link from Exeter HMP before Truro Crown Court, where he confirmed his identity with a nod and communicated through a notepad and pen.

He admitted to breaching two conditions of his sexual harm prevention order. Wilde, who has no fixed address in Camborne, was previously convicted earlier this year for offenses related to nappy fetishes and furry interests, resulting in a 72-week prison sentence. Following his release in August, he violated his license conditions by using a VPN—despite restrictions—and accessing two websites without the approval of his ViSOR officer.

The court imposed a ten-year sexual harm prevention order with 15 specific restrictions, including not installing or using software that provides anonymity and not accessing social media or forums unless authorized. Wilde claimed the VPN was intended to protect his data, not conceal his activity. However, the judge, His Honour Judge Simon Carr, observed that the primary purpose of the VPN appeared to be to hide his browsing history.

Wilde's legal defense stated he was simply browsing artwork via a website he discovered through a Twitter link, asserting there was no malicious intent. Nonetheless, Judge Carr remarked that Wilde had a poor record of complying with court orders and posed a high risk of contact with children. As a result, he was sentenced to an additional 12 months in prison.
