MAN SENTENCED IN CORNWALL FOR SEXUAL ASSAULTS IN CAMBORNE
Kevin Blake, a 41-year-old man from Rosewarne Wollas Cottages in Camborne, has been handed a six-year prison sentence after being found guilty of sexually assaulting two children under the age of ten in Cornwall.The conviction follows a detailed trial during which the court heard disturbing details about Blake’s criminal behaviour.
Blake, who is known to be a devout churchgoer and a religious individual, was charged with four counts of sexual assault on a child under 13.
The court was informed that Blake had a troubling history, with similar offences committed over two decades ago.
Despite his past, Blake managed to gain the trust of the victims, which he then betrayed through his heinous actions.
The court revealed that Blake had secretly touched the children on separate occasions, asking them whether they enjoyed what he was doing, a question that underscored the disturbing nature of his abuse.

Judge Dow highlighted that Blake’s efforts to suppress his urges and convince himself that he could control his sexual impulses had ultimately failed.
The court also took into account Blake’s prior convictions for similar offences, which contributed to the severity of the sentence handed down.
In addition to his prison term, Blake was subjected to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) that will remain in effect for 20 years.
This order prohibits him from residing in any house or having unsupervised contact with boys under 18 unless specific conditions are met.
Furthermore, Blake faces a restraining order designed to protect potential future victims.
The judge criticised Blake for betraying the trust of those who believed in his integrity, despite his apparent remorse.
