NORTHAMPTON MAN SENTENCED FOR CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE FLEES UK
A 24-year-old man has been jailed in absentia after he was found guilty of sexually abusing four girls.Raeshon Dean Everton Rose, of The Headlands, Northampton, began abusing the victims when he was a teenager, and the abuse persisted for six years.
The court heard he forced his victims to perform oral sex and repeatedly sexually assaulted them.
In 2021, one victim confided in a friend, which led to a police investigation that identified three other victims.
Rose pleaded not guilty but was tried at Northampton Crown Court, where he was convicted of eight counts of sexually assaulting a child under 13, five counts of child rape, and one of inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity.
On August 28, he was sentenced to six and a half years in prison.
However, he fled the country while on bail, and the court was told he was being sentenced in absentia.
Northamptonshire Police are actively searching for him to serve his sentence.
Det Supt Jen Castle stated that it is distressing that Rose has fled and emphasized the police's efforts to locate and extradite him, urging the public to report any information.
