STOCKTON MAN JAILED FOR STALKING EX-PARTNER AND BREACHING RESTRAINING ORDER
A man identified as Phillip Teasdale, aged 34, has been convicted for threatening and stalking his ex-partner.
Teasdale ignored a restraining order by continually leaving threatening messages for his former partner, who was left so frightened she had to move out of her Stockton home.
He left a voicemail stating, "Your house is getting lit off today and your car and you," and later warned, "I will stamp all over your head tomorrow when I turn up at your house.
I will take ***** and I will boot you all over." The court heard that Teasdale broke the restraining order in 2023 when police found him hiding upstairs in his ex's home.
The victim described her fear, saying her ex had sent threatening voicemails, including phrases like, "leave the area or get your kids took" and "I'm going to break every bone in your body." Despite denying stalking, Teasdale was convicted by a jury after trial and admitted breaching the restraining order.
He has previous convictions for robbery, vehicle-related offences, and harassment of another ex-partner.
Teasdale of Hartington Road was sentenced to four years in prison, with the court noting he would serve two-thirds before eligible for release, and a restraining order was also imposed.
