MAN ADMITS TO CHILD ABUSE AND CHILD PORNOGRAPHY
A Stockton paedophile who sexually abused three children has admitted that he "can't be in the community".Rhys Johnston, 26, carried out offences on two children in separate incidents when he was of school age.
More than a decade later, he sexually abused and took indecent photos of a third child.
Johnston was caught when a parent reported him to police, leading to his arrest.
He initially denied the offences but later admitted to accessing child pornography and the crimes.
Forensic analysis of his mobile phone revealed 32 indecent images and one video of three different children.
Johnston pleaded guilty to causing a child under 13 to engage in a sexual act, four counts of sexual assault of a child, and possession of indecent images.
He was given an extended 10-year sentence—six-and-a-half years in prison and three-and-a-half years on licence—and was subjected to lifelong restraining orders and sexual harm prevention measures.
