PAUL KERR FROM GLENROTHES GUILTY OF MAKING SEXUAL COMMENTS TO THREE GIRLS AS YOUNG AS 14
A fitness center owner made inappropriate sexual comments towards school-aged children while at his gym.Paul Kerr, aged 49, directed lascivious remarks at young girls as young as 14 and boasted to a young man that he had been intimate with his mother.
During a five-week trial, it was revealed that the martial arts instructor had no hesitation discussing sexual matters openly in front of minors at his PJK MMA facility located in Glenrothes, Fife.
A 15-year-old girl described Kerr as “sick and disgusting,” stating that he frequently made sexually explicit comments during their encounters.
Court proceedings also heard that Kerr persistently made inappropriate remarks about a girl aged 16 or 17 regarding her physical appearance.
The defendant also lay on her bed and posed a crude question in front of her boyfriend when visiting her home.
Kerr, a former soldier who charged over 60 members a monthly fee of £110, also made a vulgar gesture after boasting about a relationship with a 17-year-old boy’s mother.
Kerr, of Kinross, was convicted on Tuesday of four charges related to persistent sexual comments directed at teenagers between February 2017 and August 2018.
Over 30 other allegations—including assault, sexual assault, and threatening behavior—were either dismissed or found not proven.
A charge of breaching the peace, involving playing Nazi-style music, performing Hitler salutes, and wearing clothing with a swastika emblem, was also not proven.
Kerr, who denied all accusations, was ordered to register as a sex offender.
His sentencing has been postponed.
