IRVINE MAN PARDEEP ATTWAL SENTENCED FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT IN STOKE-ON-TRENT
In August 2021, a man from Irvine, Ayrshire, was sentenced to prison following a disturbing sexual assault that took place in Stoke-on-Trent.Pardeep Attwal, aged 34, was convicted after a trial at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court and received a sentence of two years and four months behind bars.
Additionally, he was ordered to register as a sex offender for a period of ten years.
The incident occurred on the evening of Thursday, October 15, 2020, when Attwal, who was visiting Stoke on a work-related trip and was staying at a nearby hotel, approached his victim as they were walking along Glebe Street.
The assault happened shortly before 10 pm.
According to court proceedings, Attwal initially asked his victim for assistance, which was a pretext that led to the assault.
He then proceeded to kiss and touch the victim inappropriately, causing significant distress.
The court heard the details of the attack, which was described as distressing and upsetting.
The conviction and subsequent sentencing reflect the seriousness of the offense.
