IRVINE MAN AWAITS SENTENCE AFTER 'PERFORMING SEX ACT' ON PUBLIC FOOTPATH
An Irvine man who performed a sex act whilst on a public footpath in the town is awaiting sentence.Jourdain Burns appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court earlier this week with two matters to be addressed.
The 40-year-old was due to be sentenced after previously pleading guilty to one charge of public indecency, admitting doing so on a footway between Broomlands Busway and Lower Vennel on November 11 last year by performing a sex act on himself.
Sheriff Nicola Patrick deferred sentence to allow time for background reports to be prepared.
Burns will return to court later and has been remanded in custody meantime.
He also faced another charge of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner at an address in Burnbrae Drive on November 6 last year, which he denied, with a trial set later this year.
