A man who committed a sexual assault was sentenced to nine years in prison.
Nigel Arismandez committed the assault on a teenager on May 10 of the previous year.
After the attack, the victim confided in their family about the traumatic experience and subsequently reported Arismandez to the authorities.
An investigation was initiated, leading to Arismandez’s arrest.
Throughout the process, he maintained his innocence and declined to cooperate with police inquiries.
On November 10, 2022, Arismandez, aged 48 and from Northumberland, was convicted of one count of sexual assault.
He was later sentenced to nine years in prison in February at Newcastle Crown Court.
