HUDDERSFIELD WOMAN VIOLENTLY ATTACKS TEENAGE GIRL AND RESISTS POLICE ARREST
A woman repeatedly attacked a teenage girl and then tried to bite police as they attempted to arrest her.The incident occurred on Christmas Day last year, after Nicola King consumed half a bottle of brandy.
She was celebrating Christmas at a residence in Huddersfield when she suddenly turned violent towards a 17-year-old girl, punching her and digging her nails into her head.
Despite efforts by witnesses to remove her from the victim, King proved too strong.
When police arrived, she continued to resist arrest, refusing to be handcuffed, and attempting to bite and kick the officers.
Prosecutor Jess Lister stated: “The defendant began to hit her on the head with a clenched fist.
The neighbour again tried to pull her off but she was too strong.” Further, the defendant tried to bite her, getting her teeth into the victim's hair, before being pulled away by her hair and kicking out at the officers.
The neighbour called the police, who arrested King after she resisted and attempted to bite them.
During detention, she refused to cooperate, tried to bite to harm the officers, and continued kicking out at the door of the police van.
The court, Kirklees Magistrates Court, sentenced her to a nine-month community order with 12 days of rehabilitation activities, along with orders to pay £85 court costs and a victim surcharge.
