EX-COVENTRY SPEEDWAY RIDER NICK MORRIS FACES SEXUAL ASSAULT CHARGES IN DORSET
A former Coventry Bees speedway rider, Nick Morris, aged 17, is scheduled to appear before a Bournemouth court today accused of sexual assault.
The incident reportedly occurred on August 18 at a Premier Inn hotel in Poole, Dorset, where Morris was allegedly involved in sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl.
The girl made a formal complaint to Dorset Police, leading to the arrest of both Morris and fellow rider Darcy Ward, aged 19, who was also accused of sexual assault.
Morris has been formally charged with three counts of sexual assault, while Ward faces a single charge.
Both are currently on bail and are expected to appear before the Bournemouth Magistrates Court.
Morris, who previously played for Coventry and moved to Swansea after ending his contract earlier this year, remains in legal proceedings related to the charges.
