STOCKTON THUG NEVILLE LARGE JAILED FOR HOME DESTRUCTION AND HARASSMENT
A violent thug who threw a ‘toddler tantrum’ when he trashed his ex-partner’s home during a burglary, causing hundreds of pounds worth of damage, has been jailed.
Neville Large, 48 years old, of Grey Street, Stockton, completely vandalized her residence when he broke in to retrieve some of his personal belongings after their on-again, off-again 12-year relationship broke down.
The incident involved extensive damage throughout her home, and he left a series of abusive messages on her phone, including vile verbal abuse whenever he saw her in public.
The court heard that Large had earlier smashed hundreds of pounds worth of her personal belongings following frustration with the probation service in April this year.
He was earlier convicted of criminal damage, harassment without violence, and burglary from May 3.
Prosecutor Victoria Ball stated the defendant had earlier exhibited frustration by destroying her belongings and calling her names in messages.
Large was found at the rear of her home by police, with visible extensive damage.
It was noted he was under a suspended sentence at the time of these offenses.
He pleaded guilty, and Recorder David Gordon sentenced him to 30 months in prison after noting he had 56 convictions for 117 offenses and a persistent history of poor compliance with court orders.
Additionally, he was issued a ten-year restraining order to protect the victim.
The court emphasized that he exploited her vulnerability and kindness.
