HIGH ON CRYSTAL METH AND BRAGGING ABOUT SICK OBSESSIONS, PAEDOPHILE BROUGHT POLICE RIGHT TO HIS DOOR
A convicted sex offender under the influence of crystal meth boasted about sexually abusing children while communicating with another depraved individual on Snapchat.Nathaniel Johnson claimed to have raped a 13-year-old girl and discussed plans for future assaults, sharing disturbing indecent images via the social media platform.
His criminal behavior is reportedly linked to his drug addiction and mental health problems, and he now states he feels "disgusted, ashamed and embarrassed" about his twisted actions.
However, during his sentencing, the judge dismissed most of his claims as he was sentenced to custody.
At Liverpool Crown Court on Wednesday, it was revealed that police responded to concerns about Johnson’s activity on Snapchat on January 2 of this year.
Authorities traced his account through his IP address, leading to the confiscation of a small amount of crystal meth, a MacBook, a Windows tablet, a Samsung phone, an iPad, and an iPhone.
Prosecutor Megan Cox explained that these devices contained a total of 1,792 Category A indecent images of children, depicting the most severe forms of abuse involving children as young as six months old.
Johnson, who resides on Gredington Street in Toxteth, was also found to have downloaded 1,070 Category B images, 328 Category C images, five prohibited images of children, and 579 images of extreme pornography.
During a conversation between December 26 and 30, 2025, Johnson was asked by another user, "you f*** the 13-year-old?" He replied "yeah" and was then questioned about filming the incident.
Johnson claimed he had not filmed it but disclosed he had hundreds of "sexy videos" to share, subsequently sending 68 Category A images, 12 Category B images, and three Category C images to the other person.
He also allegedly discussed planning to abuse a six-year-old boy with this individual.
Johnson has no prior convictions.
Defense solicitor John Rowan stated, "He made honest admissions during his police interview and pleaded guilty at the earliest opportunity.
He recognizes his guilt and acknowledges underlying issues that he needs to address." He added, "At the time of offending, he was addicted to Class A drugs, including the methamphetamine found in his possession.
He says these crimes were driven by ongoing mental health struggles and his drug addiction." Mr.
Rowan emphasized, "In sober reflection, Mr.
Johnson wants it known how disgusted, ashamed and embarrassed he is for appearing before the court.
He has been in custody since January 3.
Once a man of good character, he has now lost his liberty—a stark reminder of the seriousness of his actions." Johnson pleaded guilty to three counts of distributing indecent images of children, three counts of making indecent images, possession of prohibited images of children, possession of extreme pornography, and possession of methamphetamine.
He was sentenced to 32 months in prison via video link from HMP Liverpool.
Judge David Swinnerton stated during sentencing: "You reportedly struggle with social anxiety and suffered a mental health breakdown in April 2025.
Following that, you became addicted to methamphetamine, which influenced these crimes." He concluded, "The pre-sentence report suggests you tend to minimize your behavior.
I agree that you pose a high risk of further offending, especially involving children."
