KIRKLEES MAN JAILED FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT ON TEENAGER
A Nottingham man has been jailed for sexually assaulting a vulnerable teenager in Kirklees.
Luke Marsh, 30, from Boughton in Nottingham, was sentenced at Leeds Crown Court today after admitting to sexually abusing a teenage girl.
Marsh received six years and three months behind bars for two counts of engaging in penetrative sexual activity, occurring between July 2021 and July 2022.
The offences were initially reported in April 2023, leading to an investigation by West Yorkshire Police's specialist safeguarding detectives.
Marsh was arrested and subsequently charged in April 2024.
He pleaded guilty at the start of his trial on November 25 2025.
Upon release from prison, Marsh will be required to sign onto the Sexual Offences Register.
DC Yvonne Brear of West Yorkshire Police said: “We wish to commend the bravery of the victim and her family in this case for supporting a prosecution and playing their part in making Marsh answer for his crimes." “He took advantage of a vulnerable teenage girl in full knowledge of her age, groomed, and then committed very serious sexual offences against her."
