24 YEAR OLD ASYLUM SEEKER ACQUITTED ON ALL CHARGES
UPDATE 10/02/2026: Mohammad Kabir, an asylum seeker from Afghanistan, was acquitted of charges of intentional strangulation, attempted child abduction and committing an offence with intent to commit a sexual offence.Kabir, aged 24 according to court documents but told jurors he is 22, was cleared after maintaining that he never touched the victim and had no sexual intentions towards her.
—————————————————————————- Mohammad Kabir, a 23-year-old man, has been charged in connection with the alleged rape of a girl in Nuneaton.
Warwickshire Police confirmed that he has been accused of serious crimes including kidnapping, strangulation, and assisting or encouraging the rape of a girl under the age of 13.
He appeared at Coventry Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, August 2, and was remanded in custody.
His next appearance is scheduled at Warwick Crown Court on August 23.
Additionally, he is the second individual charged in relation to the incident that took place in the Cheveral Street area of Nuneaton.
The first person, Ahmad Mulakhil, faces accusations of rape.
The police have issued an official statement indicating they believe there are no other suspects involved at this stage, but they continue to seek witnesses who might have seen evidence between 8:30 pm and 9:45 pm on the night of July 22.
They urge anyone with relevant information to contact Warwickshire Police or Crimestoppers.
The investigation remains ongoing as the authorities pursue justice for the victim.
