IPSWICH MAN JAILED FOR STALKING
A 26-year-old man has received a custodial sentence after being found guilty of stalking.Kyle Wiggins, of Clapgate Lane, Ipswich, appeared in court at Ipswich Crown on Friday, 17 May, where he was sentenced to 40 months in prison after pleading not guilty to the offence that caused considerable alarm and distress.
His conviction was secured on 20 March 2024, following a five-day trial.
The incident took place over a six-month period and involved only one victim.
PC Jessica Watson commented: “Stalking is a serious and distressing crime which can escalate.
I would like to commend the bravery of the victim who came forward to report their experience and hope this sentence will encourage other victims of stalking to report it.” Those who believe they are being stalked should report it to the police without delay.
