NOTTINGHAMSHIRE MAN JAILED FOR THROWING WOMAN FROM BALCONY
A woman was severely injured after being thrown from a first floor balcony at the residence of Krzysztof Witrowski in Mansfield.Witnesses observed Witrowski picking up and dropping the woman from the balcony.
When officers arrived, they provided her with basic first aid before paramedics transported her to the hospital.
She suffered a fractured pelvis, facial fractures, and a broken right ankle after falling into the courtyard.
Witrowski appeared at Nottingham Crown Court for sentencing on Tuesday, September 19, where he was sentenced to two years and nine months in prison.
He had pleaded guilty to inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent on August 3, 2023.
Witnesses described seeing a man and woman arguing on the balcony around 11:50 pm on May 27, 2023, with one passerby witnessing Witrowski lift and drop the woman over the balcony edge.
CCTV footage confirmed Witrowski dropped the woman from a height of approximately 12 feet.
Detective Inspector Steve King of Nottinghamshire Police stated: "It is fortunate the victim was not more seriously injured after this frightening incident.
I hope she continues to make a full recovery.
I’m pleased the judge saw fit to put Witrowski behind bars after detectives carried out a very thorough investigation."
