POOLE RAPIST SENTENCED FOR ATTACKING WOMAN SEVEN TIMES
A rapist who attacked the same woman on seven separate occasions has been sentenced to imprisonment.Kieron Gibson, aged 25, admitted to raping the same victim seven times and attempting to assault her on an additional occasion over a span of five years.
In March 2021, the victim approached Poole police station to report a series of non-recent rapes conducted by Gibson over many years.
The victim provided messages from Gibson that appeared to be related to the assaults.
Following a thorough investigation by Bournemouth CID detectives, Gibson was charged and appeared in court.
On Friday, November 17, at Bournemouth Crown Court, he was sentenced to seven and a half years in prison.
He has also been placed on the sex offenders' register indefinitely.
Detective Constable Chloe Riley of Bournemouth CID expressed gratitude to the victim for her courage in coming forward and supporting the investigation.
She urged other victims of sexual offences to report crimes to police, emphasizing that they would be supported by trained officers and that investigations would be thorough.
Gibson's conviction and sentencing serve as a reminder of the importance of justice for sexual assault victims.
