NORTHUMBRIA POLICE OFFICER ON TRIAL FOR VICIOUS STILETTO ATTACK DURING SUNDERLAND BUST-UP
A Northumbria Police officer named Kate Dolan, aged 29, is currently on trial accused of attacking her ex-boyfriend with a stiletto heel during a bust-up in a Sunderland pizza shop following a night out.The incident allegedly occurred at Pizzarama, in Tunstall Road, Sunderland, on December 27, 2021.
According to court testimonies, Dolan is accused of pushing her former partner, Lewis Smith, in the face at a nightclub earlier that evening before later hitting him with her stiletto in the pizza shop.
The court heard that Smith was on the floor of the shop when Lee Little, Dolan's current boyfriend, was holding his legs down.
Smith described the attack: "Kate walked behind me with her stiletto in her arm.
She whacked me with it on my head.
She was screaming, shouting..." Dolan and Little are also accused of injuring another of Smith's friends, Jack Dickinson, during the same night.
Hikexatthe trial, Lewis Smith testified that he was taken to hospital with wounds stapled together.
Witnesses also described how Dolan had approached Smith earlier in the night at The Terrace pub, and how she looked at him viciously before pushing him, and how Lee Little engaged in a fight with Dickinson outside the nightclub.
CCTV footage captured some of these altercations.
Dolan denies assaulting her ex-partner, Lewis Smith, and unlawfully wounding him, while Lee Little denies assaulting Jack Dickinson.
The case is ongoing, with the trial continuing.
