SALFORD MAN JAILED FOR RAPE AND ASSAULT WITH NO REMORSE
A woman sustained severe injuries after being assaulted and raped.Jordan Taylor, aged 30, attacked her while she tearfully pleaded for him to ‘stop it’ and to ‘calm down’.
He left her with extensive injuries, including bloodied injuries and serious trauma, and she feared for her life.
Taylor, who resides on St Brelades Drive in Salford, was sentenced to 20 years imprisonment at Bolton Crown Court on Friday (March 22) after being found guilty of two counts of rape and assault.
The court was told that Taylor met the victim on an evening last year and later went to a property with her.
When he was asked to leave, he became aggressive.
Following the attack, the woman called emergency services, reporting her injuries.
Emergency responders found her suffering from significant swelling around her eyes and forehead, with blood on her nose, hands, and legs.
Medical examinations later confirmed she had fractures to her eye socket, nasal bone, and one finger.
Jordan Taylor was arrested shortly after the incident.
He maintained his innocence, claiming that the sexual activity was consensual.
Police investigations uncovered a voicemail in which Taylor can be heard giving instructions to the victim while she is crying and begging him to ‘stop it’ and ‘calm down’.
Detective Constable Maisie Gilman of Stockport’s CID expressed gratitude to the victim for her bravery and for reporting the incident.
She remarked that Taylor showed no remorse, denying the allegations both at arrest and during interviews.
Gilman added that she hopes the sentencing offers some closure for the victim and her family.
The police reaffirmed their commitment to tackling violence against women and girls and urged victims to come forward promptly for support.
Taylor was also issued an indefinite restraining order to protect the victim.
