LEICESTERSHIRE MAN JAILED FOR OBSESSIVE STALKING AND ONLINE HARASSMENT
A stalker has been jailed for bombarding a woman with unwanted videos and messages on social media.Leicestershire Police said Jordan Hancock targeted his victim over eight months with his behaviour escalating to him visiting her home and damaging her car.
Hancock was sentenced to 31 months in prison when he appeared at Leicester Crown Court on Wednesday having previously admitted a charge of stalking involving fear of violence or serious alarm or distress.
The 25-year-old was also given a 10-year restraining order banning him from contact with the woman.
The force said Hancock had displayed threatening and controlling behaviour towards the woman, demanding to know where she was and who she was with.
Detectives said she reported him to police in October 2023 but he still continued to send her messages and set up fake social media profiles to stalk her.
Det Con Phoebe Whittington said: "Throughout the investigation, the victim in this case told us about the profound impact Hancock’s actions have had on her.
She said his behaviour has left her feeling anxious and stressed and worried about leaving the house.
She lived in constant fear of being attacked."
