JONATHAN LIAM ALLEN JAILED FOR DISTRIBUTING INDECENT IMAGES OF CHILDREN
A man has been jailed for sharing indecent images of children following a hearing at Leicester Crown Court.
Jonathan Liam Allen appeared before the court on 16 October 2025, where he pleaded guilty to two counts of distributing indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of children.
Allen was sentenced to a total of 40 months in prison, taking into account other related offences.
This included eight months’ imprisonment for each distribution offence—one to run consecutively and the other concurrently with a previous sentence.
The court also imposed a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO), restricting Allen’s use of computers, internet access, and contact with minors.
Under the order, Allen must notify police of any new devices, allow monitoring software, and is banned from using incognito or cloud-based storage to conceal activity.
He was additionally ordered to register with police indefinitely under the Sexual Offences Act 2003 and pay a victim surcharge of £228.
A mobile phone used in the offences was forfeited and will be destroyed under the Prevention of Crime Act 1953.
The Disclosure and Barring Service has been notified, meaning Allen may be barred from working with children or vulnerable adults in the future.
