JOANNE FOSTER AND GARY KEENAN FROM MACCLESFIELD SENTENCED FOR CHILD ABUSE IMAGES AND PUBLIC INDECENCY

In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Macclesfield, Joanne Foster, a 44-year-old former NHS administrative worker, has been sentenced to prison after authorities uncovered a cache of child abuse images and explicit material involving animals and multiple men. The investigation revealed that Foster was involved in highly illegal and morally reprehensible activities, which included the possession and distribution of indecent images of children, as well as explicit videos and photographs depicting her engaging in sexual acts with dogs and other animals.

The police raid on her residence in Macclesfield in April of the previous year uncovered a significant amount of illicit material. Devices seized during the operation contained hundreds of indecent images of children, along with videos and photographs featuring bestiality involving dogs and horses. Among the disturbing evidence was a photograph showing Foster in Heaton Park, Manchester, wearing a white dress and exposing herself, with the image taken by her partner, Gary Keenan.

In addition to the images, authorities found that Foster had written offensive and degrading words on her body, including ‘paedo slut’ on her backside and ‘young boys cock only’ on her stomach, further highlighting the depravity of her actions. The investigation also revealed that Foster owned 103 indecent images of children, while her partner, Gary Keenan, possessed a staggering 926 such images, along with an additional 463 extreme pornographic images and 13 prohibited animations involving animals.

Gary Keenan, aged 43, was also implicated in the case. He was found to have indecent images of children on his phone, and during police interviews, both he and Foster blamed each other for the possession of these illegal materials. Prosecutor Sarah Badrawy detailed that Keenan had referred to Foster as his ‘product’ and had encouraged her to participate in high-risk, and sometimes illegal, sexual activities. The court heard that Keenan’s actions and influence played a significant role in fostering the environment of illegal activity.

The relationship between Foster and Keenan was marked by disturbing dynamics. Foster admitted to owning 103 indecent images of children, while Keenan’s collection was far larger. Both individuals faced multiple charges, including possession of indecent images and outraging public decency. Foster specifically admitted to one count of possessing indecent images of children and two counts of outraging public decency, while Keenan faced more severe charges, resulting in a sentence of two years and six months in prison.

Judge Patrick Thompson described their conduct as involving ‘depraved sexual activity in public,’ emphasizing the severity and moral reprehensibility of their actions. The sentences handed down reflect the gravity of the crimes committed by these individuals, who have brought shame and concern to the community of Macclesfield. The case serves as a stark reminder of the ongoing battle against child exploitation and illegal pornography, and the importance of vigilant law enforcement in protecting vulnerable victims.
