JAYSON DODDS ISSUED COURT ORDER FOR CONTACTING FORMER PARTNER
A MUSSELBURGH man has been issued with a non-harassment order banning him from having contact with his former partner.Jayson Dodds had a similar order imposed on him for a previous offence during a hearing at Edinburgh Sheriff Court in October last year.
But the 25-year-old disregarded the instructions not to have any contact with the woman when he was found to have approached her on Davidson Way in Wallyford on May 3.
The Capital court was told that police officers had found evidence of the breach while they conducted an investigation into a separate allegation that was no longer being prosecuted.
The court heard that the officers had viewed doorbell footage during their investigations and had witnessed Dodds having contact with the woman.
Dodds, c/o HMP Edinburgh, appeared from custody at the court on Monday, where Sheriff Adrian Fraser sentenced him to a community payback order with a 14-month supervision element.
The sheriff also reimposed the non-harassment order for two years.
