In a serious case that has shocked the Stockton community, 21-year-old Jason Longstaff has been sentenced to an indefinite prison term after admitting to the heinous crime of raping a nine-year-old boy on Teesside.

The incident took place in March at a community centre located within Stockton, where Longstaff, a former football club steward, lured the young victim into a toilet facility.

The court proceedings revealed disturbing details about Longstaff's actions and his psychological state at the time of the offence.

During the hearing at Teesside Crown Court, it was disclosed that Longstaff, then aged 20, had fantasized about committing such a crime and derived a perverse sense of pleasure from the distress he caused his young victim.
