HUDDERSFIELD SEX OFFENDER JASJEET HEER PLEADS GUILTY AFTER EXPOSING HIMSELF
A man who exposed himself to a woman while she was shopping had a troubled background, witnessing violence in his home as a child.
Jasjeet Heer, suffering from Asperger’s syndrome and living in Bradley, pleaded guilty at Kirklees Magistrates’ Court to two charges of exposure.
The incident occurred at Huddersfield Retail Park off Beck Road on August 1, when Heer approached a 63-year-old woman, exposed himself, and caused her to run into a store.
When she left, he exposed himself again before leaving in a car traced to his home.
Heer was previously ordered to sign the sex offenders’ register for five years after exposing himself to neighbors.
The court heard Heer’s background included domestic violence and social isolation due to his father’s alcoholism.
Magistrates sentenced Heer to a 12-month community order with up to 35 days of rehabilitation activities.
He must also re-register as a sex offender within three days, pay £100 compensation to his victim, and cover court costs of £85.
