ISMAIL SACHA FROM BATLEY JAILED FOR GROOMING YOUNG PUPIL
In a case that has shocked the community of Batley, a former madrassah teacher named Ismail Sacha, aged 29, has been sentenced to prison after being found guilty of attempting to groom a young student.The incident has raised serious concerns about safeguarding and the safety of children within religious educational settings.
According to court records, Sacha engaged in a series of inappropriate communications with the boy through Facebook messages.
These messages included explicit comments and suggestive language, which clearly indicated his intentions.
The court heard that Sacha also made inappropriate remarks in person during his interactions with the child, notably attempting to lure the boy into the mosque’s toilets, an act that was deemed highly inappropriate and a breach of trust.
While there was no evidence to suggest that any sexual activity took place during his teaching sessions, the judge emphasized that Sacha’s actions demonstrated a disturbing pattern of grooming behavior.
The court found that Sacha was attracted to the young pupil and had deliberately arranged to meet him with the intent of engaging in sexual misconduct.
