COURT HEARS HOW TEACHER ALLEGEDLY RAPED WOMAN AFTER SHARING COCAINE
A court case was presented in Cardiff Crown Court involving Huw Elystan Davies, aged 38, who was accused of giving a 19-year-old woman Class A drugs, specifically cocaine, before raping her while she was asleep. The woman, now 20, testified via video link that she visited Davies' semi-detached house outside Bridgend after a pub drinking session.
She recounted that she had been drinking and felt intoxicated, leading to her agreeing to share cocaine with Davies.
She observed Davies snorting the drug herself, and admitted to taking it too, although she felt sick afterward.
The woman was unclear about who made the first move but acknowledged she may have kissed Davies, emphasizing her intoxicated state.
The prosecution argued that she was too drunk and under the influence of cocaine to give valid consent.
Police investigations found a large bag of cocaine at Davies' home on a marble table where she said the drugs were laid out, along with additional traces of cocaine in his bedroom and a second bedroom.
Davies denies the charges of rape and supplying cocaine but admits possessing the drug.
The case continues, and a verdict is awaited.
