AIRDRIE MAN GREG MOFFAT JAILED FOR RAPE OF SLEEPING WOMAN
Airdrie saw the conviction of 22-year-old Greg Moffat for the rape of a sleeping woman.
The assault happened in the early morning hours of 16 March the previous year, when the woman, returning to her flat with friends after a night out at a nightclub, was unexpectedly assaulted while she was unconscious.
Moffat was subsequently found guilty of the offence and was sentenced to four years in prison.

Despite his assertion that the incident was consensual, the court rejected his claim and convicted him of rape.
