AIRDRIE SEX OFFENDER IN TROUBLE FOR SOCIAL MEDIA FAIL
A sex offender got into more trouble after failing to tell police about his social media accounts.Martin Grimason should have kept officers up to date about his online activity as he was on the sex offenders' register.
Kevin Morrow, prosecuting, told Airdrie Sheriff Court that police made an unannounced visit to his home on April 1 last year.
They found "numerous" Facebook and Twitter accounts associated with him.
Grimason, 35, of Kippen Street, Airdrie, claimed he couldn't access them because he had forgotten the passwords.
He admitted breaching the requirements of the sex offenders' register by failing to inform police of the accounts.
Grimason was placed on the register at the same court in March last year after he admitted possession of child abuse images.

The sheriff told Grimason: "One reason I revoked the community payback order was your failure to engage.
"You must make sure you comply fully with police in these matters or you will find yourself going straight back to prison." He is not due for release until January and was given a three-month sentence for the latest offence, to take immediate effect.
