GRAHAME ANDREWS, SOLDIER BASED AT CREDENHILL, PUT ON SEX OFFENDERS REGISTER IN HEREFORD

In March 2008, a soldier connected to the SAS regiment was placed on the sex offenders register after being found guilty of exposing himself to a young girl.

Grahame Andrews, age 34, was identified by police during investigations into a series of suspicious incidents involving children across south Hereford last summer.

The suspect was known as "the green car man," a nickname referencing a partial vehicle registration linked to the suspect's car.

This detail led detectives to Andrews at the Credenhill SAS base, where he was employed as part of the base support staff.

At Hereford Magistrates Court on Friday, March 7, Andrews pleaded guilty to one count of indecent exposure.

The court took into account an additional charge related to a separate incident involving a young girl.

Andrews received a three-year community order that included supervision requirements, participation in a sex offender treatment programme, and a sex offences prevention order.

Now residing in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, Andrews was also ordered to register as a sex offender for five years.

Furthermore, he will be dismissed from the Army.

During last week's sentencing, Andrews had formally admitted to one charge and indicated to prosecutors that the other charge could be taken into consideration.
