GORDON FROW FROM LINCOLN JAILED FOR SHOCKING INDECENT IMAGE INCIDENT INVOLVING NINE-YEAR-OLD GIRL
In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Lincoln, a man named Gordon Frow has been sentenced to two years in prison after an incident involving a young girl. The incident took place in November 2016 at an address in the southern part of Lincoln, where Frow, aged 37, visited the girl and committed an act that has led to serious legal consequences.According to court proceedings, Frow produced his mobile phone and showed the young girl an explicit photograph of himself engaged in a sexual act. The girl, who was only nine years old at the time, reacted by instinctively shielding her eyes from the graphic image and telling Frow to remove the photograph from the screen. This distressing event was brought to light during a trial at Lincoln Crown Court, where Frow faced multiple charges.
Frow, residing on College Close in Lincoln, denied the charge of causing a child to watch a sexual act. However, after a jury trial, he was found guilty of this specific offence. It is important to note that he was acquitted of any charges related to sexually assaulting the young girl directly. In addition, Frow faced other legal proceedings, including a separate trial where he was found not guilty of rape and sexual assault charges involving an adult woman. A further sexual assault charge was also considered, but the jury was unable to reach a verdict, leading the prosecution to decide not to pursue that case further.
Throughout the proceedings, Frow maintained his innocence on all counts. He also denied two charges of breaching a non-molestation order by contacting two women in violation of a court order. However, he later changed his plea and admitted to one of these breaches, and a jury found him guilty of the second breach.
Frow’s criminal history is extensive, with convictions dating back to 2002 for various offences, including harassment and breaching restraining orders. Notably, in 2004, he was convicted of having sexual intercourse with a girl under the age of 16.
The court, presided over by Judge Simon Hirst, sentenced Frow to two years in prison, ordered him to register as a sex offender for ten years, and imposed a three-year driving ban due to his earlier disqualification for driving. The court also considered whether to impose a sexual harm prevention order but postponed that decision to a later date.
Judge Hirst emphasized the severity of the offences, stating, “These offences are so serious that only a custodial sentence can be passed.” The case has left a lasting impact on the community and highlights the importance of safeguarding children from such heinous acts.
