A man from Kelty, named Gary McBurney, aged 33, has been sentenced for his role in a domestic disturbance at the home of his former partner in Kincardine.
According to reports, he appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court where he admitted to acting in a disorderly and aggressive manner on August 23 at Cameron Place, Kincardine.
It was noted that he shouted towards his partner while in possession of a knife, indicating a domestically-aggravated offence.
The police had received a call from a neighbour about the disturbance and the presence of a knife, which was later confiscated from him.
Defense solicitor Alexander Flett mentioned that the incident was a minor argument with intervening parties, resulting in McBurney with a ripped T-shirt and facial scratches.
He claimed to police that he had been assaulted.
Sheriff Peter Anderson imposed a community payback order requiring 90 hours of unpaid work and nine months of supervision.
