KELTY MAN JONATHON COOMBS CHARGED WITH REPEATEDLY RAPING 2 CHILDREN AS YOUNG AS 5 OVER A DECADE OF ABUSE
Kelty man Jonathon Coombs has been charged with a number of serious offences against children including rape, sexual assault and physical assault and neglection.Coombs of Stewart Road, Kelty is a father-of-two and an upstanding member of the church organisation.
On the 22nd of May 2025, Coombs appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court charged with a number of child sex and cruelty offences.
He was granted conditional bail until a further scheduled hearing at the High Court in Edinburgh and a children's panel hearing was subsequently was arranged revealing the deeply disturbing allegations.
An investigation was launched after a child was seen to have their "head smashed of a car" by local neighbours.
The father refused to take the child for medical attention and performed at-home surgery, subsequent investigations by Police Scotland and Fife Social Work led to several charges being made against Jonathon Coombs.
The offences are alleged to have been committed at various addresses and locations across Scotland over a 9 year period against 2 children as young as 5 years old.
The court heard that Coombs is charged with Section 18 of The Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act 2009 - Rape of a young child under the age of 13, Section 20 Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act 2009 - Sexual Assault on a Young Child Under The Age of 13 and a number of other offences related to physical assaults between 2011 and 2022.
