KELTY MAN THREATENED TO KILL FORMER PARTNER AND HER FAMILY
A Kelty man bombarded his former partner with messages, looking for a lift home in the middle of the night.Logan Carscadden, aged 23, of Keltyhill Road, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court where he admitted that on July 26 at an address in Cowdenbeath, he attempted to contact his former partner, left a voicemail, and threatened to harm her family.
The pair had been separated for two years when he started harassing her, threatening to kill her and “butcher” her family members.
The depute fiscal Catherine Stevenson stated that after a two-year relationship ending around April 2023, at 4.30am she received numerous calls from a withheld number, which she did not answer.
A voicemail was sent by Carscadden, in which he was telling her to answer the phone and threatening to kill her and to “butcher” her dad and brother.
Defence solicitor Chris Sneddon said Carscadden was heavily under the influence of drink, and this appeared to be a one-off incident.
Sheriff Derek Reekie noted that he was calling her for a lift two years after they split up and commented that calling her 32 times and making serious threats was very foolish and frightening for her.
Carscadden was fined £520 and given a one-year non-harassment order.
