MAN WHO CAUSED INTERNAL INJURIES BY STAMPING ON HIS PARTNER JAILED
Gareth Moreton-Jenkins received a prison sentence of eight and a half years, along with an additional two-year period of extended license, after being convicted of intentionally causing serious bodily harm.The court proceedings revealed that the 42-year-old from Cwmbran assaulted his former partner following his return from a rave in Port Talbot.
The attack left her with facial injuries and her phone was also destroyed.
On a separate occasion, Moreton-Jenkins carried out a severe assault on her, which involved stamping on her head and stomach.
This assault led to her being hospitalized for over three weeks, during which she sustained fractured ribs, a lacerated liver, and other injuries.
The sentencing took place at Newport Crown Court on Monday, 29 June.
