HEDERSFIELD TEENAGER ESHEA SULLIVAN SENTENCED FOR SEXUAL OFFENCES AGAINST CHILDREN IN HUDDERSFIELD AND HOLMFIRTH
A young man from Huddersfield who committed a series of serious sexual offences against three young girls has been sentenced to prison.Eshea Sullivan, aged 18 at the time of sentencing, was only a teenager himself when he carried out these disturbing acts in the towns of Huddersfield and Holmfirth.
The crimes took place over a period spanning from June 2021 to June 2022, during which Sullivan targeted three innocent girls, subjecting them to multiple forms of sexual assault.
Following a trial held at Leeds Crown Court last month, Sullivan was found guilty of a total of ten sexual offences linked to his victims.
The charges included two counts of rape, two counts of sexual assault by penetration, and one count of sexual assault against one of the victims.
Additionally, he was convicted of one count of rape, one count of sexual assault by penetration, and one count of sexual assault against a second girl.
The third victim was also subjected to sexual assault by penetration and another count of sexual assault, making the total charges quite extensive and serious.
On Tuesday, February 18th, during the sentencing hearing at Leeds Crown Court, Sullivan, who was formerly residing on York Avenue in Huddersfield, received a prison term of nine years.
The court also imposed a further five-year period of licence upon his release, meaning he will be under supervision for that duration.
In addition to his imprisonment, Sullivan was subjected to an indefinite restraining order, which prohibits him from making any contact with his victims.
He is also required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life, a measure designed to monitor and restrict his activities to protect the community.
Furthermore, Sullivan is permanently barred from volunteering with or working with children in any capacity.
The court's decision reflects the severity of his crimes and the ongoing concern for the safety and well-being of the victims and the wider community in Huddersfield and Holmfirth.
