ELLIOT CAMPBELL FROM PEEBLES HARASSES EX-PARTNER WITH SEXUAL MESSAGES IN SCOTLAND
Authorities have initiated a comprehensive investigation into Elliot Campbell, a resident of Peebles, following reports that he subjected his former partner to a series of offensive and sexually explicit messages.The disturbing pattern of harassment persisted despite the woman’s repeated pleas for him to cease his actions.
According to court records, Campbell, aged 48, was responsible for sending a total of 25 such messages in April alone.
The victim, distressed by the ongoing harassment, eventually decided to report the matter to the police authorities.
The incident was brought before Selkirk Sheriff Court, where Campbell pleaded guilty to the charges.
It was established that the offensive messages were sent from his residence at Edderston Ridge, Peebles, during the period from July of the previous year through April of the current year.
In addition to the primary charge, Campbell also admitted to a second offense involving the deliberate act of causing another individual to view a sexual image without their consent.
This further underscored the severity of his actions and the breach of personal boundaries involved.
The court decided to defer sentencing until August 4, allowing for the preparation of a criminal justice social work report and an assessment for a restriction of liberty order.
This delay aims to ensure a comprehensive understanding of Campbell’s circumstances before any final judgment is passed.
